Infographic: Four Ways Students Cheat With Their Phones
Students are creative, and some especially when it comes to cheating with their tech. This infographic, courtesy of onlinecollegecourses.com, says students in the most competitive majors like undergraduate engineering and business are most likely to cheat.
Here are four ways students cheat with their cell phones. Caught anyone creative recently? How do you fight digital cheats on test day?
Four mobile phone cheats:
- The Philanthropist: Take photo of test to share with other classmates.
- The Flagrant: Check for answers on phone during test.
- The Stall: Sneak a bathroom break and sneak a cheat from the comfort of a stall.
- The Lifeline: Text someone outside the classroom for an answer.
The infographic also offers up some traditional ways to cheat and suggestions for teachers to combat cheating.
Oddly, there’s nary a mention of banning cell phone use during the test, which would cut out three of the tactics above. In addition, when a student goes on bathroom break, hold their cellphone.
