I taught at a private school in Meriden NH for 3 years. The students that stood out as being connected to their physical body, being good problem solvers and whole people were kids that lived on farms. I confirmed this observation with Walker Weed, who started student workshops at Dartmouth College, workshops where students could design and make things.
I asked Walker, if in his 50+ years of teaching at Dartmouth, had he noticed a decline in students ability to work with physical material ?
“Oh, my God, if the decline continues, I see it as a crisis for our culture”.
I agree with Walker Weed.
I support your proposition.
