Great article. As bankruptcy attorneys we have not seen anyone going chapter 7 or 13 who successfully discharged a government debt. Most kids go to school but don’t look before they leap. If a parent cosigns a students loan than make sure to take a life insurance policy on them as a death than obligates the parent to fulfill the loan balance. Just some thoughts.
